Paying for treatment

Questions to ask your dentist about treatment costs

Practical questions that make a treatment plan easier to understand.

Ask for the plan in writing

A written treatment plan or quote makes everything that follows easier — including a finance application. It should set out the treatment recommended and the cost at that practice.

Useful questions

Is this treatment planned in stages, and if so, when does each stage happen? Are there any associated costs, such as imaging, specialist involvement or anaesthetic? What happens if the plan changes once treatment begins?

Asking these questions early means fewer surprises later, whether or not you use finance.

Talking about cost isn't awkward

Practices have these conversations every day. Many will mention finance options themselves, and some refer patients to Halo Finance directly.
